With a feeble economy that's threatening to derail the Christmas plans of many families across America comes this piece of news:  The Obama administration has imposed a 15-cent tax on Christmas trees.

According to the Obama administration this "board" is to run a '“program of promotion, research, evaluation, and information designed to strengthen the Christmas tree industry’s position in the marketplace."

This new tax will affect business that sell fresh  Christmas trees and their customers.

The administration will form a Christmas Tree Promotion Board through fees charged to anyone who sells more than 500 Christmas trees per year. The sellers will have to ante up an additional 15-cents per Christmas tree so that the government can put a more positive spin on the beloved conifers.
