Neil Young has confirmed the release date for his new album with Promise of the Real. The Monsanto Years, an album described as "ecologically / environmentally focused," will be out on June 29. Young has also announced a tour with the band in support of it.

The Los Angeles-based Promise of the Real features Lukas Nelson and Micah Nelson, sons of country legend Willie Nelson. The group is rounded out by Anthony Logerfo, Corey McCormick and Tato Melgar. Their Rebel Content Tour with Young will hit the road beginning on July 5 at Milwaukee Summer Fest. A complete track listing for The Monsanto Years, as well as a list of tour dates and cities, can be found below.

In addition to standard versions of the album -- which will be available on iTunes and as a PonoMusic high-resolution audio download -- The Monsanto Years will also be released in a special CD/DVD package. A vinyl edition will follow in August.

Those who pre-order The Monsanto Years will receive instant downloads of two songs, "Big Box" and "A Rock Star Bucks a Coffee Shop." (Pre-orders are now available.) Digital or CD/DVD copies of the album will be included with purchase of concert tickets, except for festival dates.
