Don't waste your day. Put your hands up and give someone five. It's fun and easy to celebrate this special day. "Give me five" or "High five." The meaning varies, but can be viewed as a greeting, congratulations or celebration. The third Saturday in April is when we celebrate, and it's okay to give a "Low Five" also. But only after you've given the "High Five". The creation of this special day dates back to 2002, it was created by college students at the University of Virginia. They celebrated with lemonade and a profusion of High Fives.

The "high five" originated from the "low five," witch dates back to WWII. Two of the most documented "high fives" include a professional baseball team in 1977, and men's college basketball team during the 1978–1979 season.

People are calling it a "national" day, but no congressional records or presidential proclamations for this day can be found. I feel we should go out and high five as many people as you can before the day is over, I wonder how many strangers would high five me if I was just walking downtown?
