Boston’s ‘More Than a Feeling’ Featured in Yogurt Commercial
Boston‘s classic ‘More Than a Feeling’ is being used in a new commercial for yogurt. The connection? Yoplait’s latest flavor is Boston Cream Pie Lite. “At 90 calories, it is so good . . . when you want more than a feeling” touts the tagline as cartoon swirls of yogurt colorfully circle the screen.
Since its release in 1976, ‘More Than a Feeling’ has racked up probably more airplay on classic-rock radio than just about any other song by a band named after a major U.S. city. The song hit the Top 5 on the pop chart, staying there for nearly 20 weeks and igniting the group’s career.
Tom Scholz remains the only original member of the band, which recently released a new album, ‘Life, Love & Hope,’ which features some vocals by original singer Brad Delp, who passed away in 2007.
Boston’s self-titled debut album hit No. 3 in 1976 and has sold more than 20 million copies since its release, making it one of the best-selling debut albums of all time. No doubt ‘More Than a Feeling’ has a lot to do with its continued success. You can watch the new commercial above.
