Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation recently released the results of a Toll Feasibility Study that wrapped up last year. The study was required of the agency by the Minnesota Legislature to look at modern tolling practices in other states and consider the legal ramifications, revenue considerations, and other issues if tolls were implemented in the state.

The full report is located on MNDOT's website.  Of note, the closest toll route that was examined would be the I-35 corridor from Duluth to the Twin Cities Metro.

As a feasibility study, the report makes no recommendations.  The evaluation was merely a means of examining the issues connected to road tolls and to collect information.
