MNDOT And WISDOT Close Highway Between Hinckley To Danbury Due To Flooding

Cresting waters on the St. Croix River have caused the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to jointly close the route between Hinckley and Danbury.  High water at the bridge is causing the closure.

The route - known as MN Highway 48/WI Highway 77 will remain closed until the water recedes.

Highway 48 will remain open to Grand Casino and to local traffic.  Even still, there will be no traffic over the St. Croix Bridge.  The established detour utilizes Highway 70 south of Pine City for travel between Minnesota and Wisconsin.
