Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Christian Ponder is Reportedly Engaged to Girlfriend Samantha Steele
As Christian Ponder’s first full season in the NFL progresses, he has shown glimpses of greatness and offered a lot of frustration for his on-field performance. Off the field, it was announced about a month into the season that he was dating ESPN reporter Samantha Steele. Things have progressed.
In a tweet earlier this afternoon, Sports Illustrator reporter Richard Deitsch reported that Ponder and Steele had taken their relationship to the next level, saying:
Spoke to ESPN’s @samantha_steele today. She confirms she is engaged to @vikingsfootball quarterback Christian Ponder.

The couple went public in October of this year, and have apparently fallen for each other so fast they have decided to move things along quickly. Either that, or Ponder wants to get a ring on her finger while he is still an NFL starter – one of the two. One way or the other, we’ll call it his hurry-up offense.
