Hang on to that wallet!  Prices for the Minnesota State Fair have increased across the board for 2014 - with raises on parking, admission, and ride tickets.

Regular admission at the gate for adults will be $13, up $1 from the previous year. Admission for kids and seniors will be $11, up from $10, according to a State Fair general information breakdown.

Parking in State Fair lots is also increasing from $12 to $13, while midway/kidway tickets are $25 for a sheet of 30. Last year, a sheet of 28 went for $20.

Individual tickets will be $1, up from 2013's price of 75 cents.

Pre-fair admission tickets also will cost a dollar extra. Available through Aug. 20, those will cost $10, up from $9.

Fair officials defend the rising costs as a symptom of the economy and cite the fact that they didn't raise prices the last few years.
