Kate and Adam Eskuri spend a lot of time getting away and going to the BWCA. They are also a husband and wife duo who are in the process of training for the 2018 Boston Marathon, and they wanted their race and training to represent something bigger.

They want to bring awareness and funds to a project they call "Save The Boundary Waters". #SaveTheBWCA is what they are using to try and have permanent protection for the thousands of lakes and acres and acres of forest land. They say, with all the proposed mining, the BWCA needs help.

So, they want to raise $2000 for the thousands of lakes. They are looking for people to either donate or sponsor them per mile. They describe themselves as average people trying to protect a National Forest. Every dollar will be donated to the BWCA. You can sponsor a dollar per mile for a long run ($15-$22) , the marathon ($26.20 donation!), or even beyond. They want to protect the land they feel privileged to enjoy.
