Over the weekend, an excerpt from the new Mick Jagger biography ‘Mick: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger’ detailed his affair with model and future French First Lady, Carla Bruni.

Now more details about the singer’s romantic life have been revealed. The Daily Mail has also obtained excerpts from the book, which detail Jagger’s pursuit of a young Angelina Jolie and discusses the long-term love affair with his ‘Dancing in the Streets’ duet partner David Bowie.

Author Christopher Andersen writes, “Bowie and Jagger were soon spotted everywhere together without their wives: sitting ringside at the Muhammad Ali-Ken Norton bout, hanging out at the London disco Tramp, yelling and stomping their approval at a Diana Ross concert, or just cuddling up together on a hotel room couch.” The author writes that Bowie also took Jagger to watch gay films.

The book also states that Jagger was romantically interested in Angelina Jolie, who appeared in the band’s 1997 video, ‘Anybody Seen My Baby.’ The actress was married to actor Johnny Lee Miller at the time, but the book alleges that Jolie’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, was hoping her daughter would end up with Jagger.

The book suggests that Jagger became obsessed with Jolie and eventually convinced her to join him in Florida during a break in the band’s tour, but “the weekend left Angelina unimpressed and Mick wanting more.” The rocker then allegedly tried to cast Jolie’s husband in the film ‘Enigma’ for his Jagged Edge film company in order to have her drop by the set, but she confronted him about it and asked him to stop pursuing her.

The book is on sale now here.
