Mayor’s Pride Reception Will Cause Traffic Advisory

On Thursday September 1st, the Mayor’s Pride Reception Event will be held at the Depot. Many will attend and this is a huge event but it will cause a few more headaches for traffic. The City of Duluth released the traffic advisory for the day.According to a press release from the City of Duluth, from 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.   Michigan Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from 5^thAvenue West to 6^th Avenue West   from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. to allow for event set up / tear down.   This will include the closing of the Michigan Street exit off the freeway.   Michigan Street from 5^th Avenue West to 6^th Avenue West will also be posted no parking after 2:00 p.m.

The city parking lot at the bottom of 6^th Avenue West will remain open and is accessible from 6^th Avenue West which will be signed for 2-way traffic from Michigan Street up to Superior Street.

Drivers are urged to use caution when driving the area of the event.
