Maurice Sendak – Author Of Where The Wild Things Are Dies

The author of the classic children’s book Where The Wild Things Are has passed away. Maurice Sendak dies at the age of 83 due to complications from a stroke.
Originally published in 1963, Where The Wild Things Are won numerous literary awards – including the illustrious Caldecott Medal in 1964.
Sendak wrote numerous other books – and not all of them for children. However, his greatest success came from the books he wrote for kids and he was okay with the literary world categorizing him as a children’s author.
