Man’s Best Friend Shows Loyalty and Teaches Lesson, Stay Off Thin Ice

For 30 minutes a 60 year old man was in frozen water, he had broken through the ice when he went to get the duck he shot. His faithful companion refused to leave him.

Passers by called 911 and emergency responders finally got the man out of the water, but even though the man told the dog to go away and leave him, the dog would not.

I read the story and thought, how wonderful, the dog was so loyal that he wouldn't leave. Then I thought, even though we have been getting some cold weather, this is a great lesson for people.

Don't walk on the ice unless it is safe to do so. It is deceiving because we are getting a little bit of a cold spell. Check the ice, check with authorities whether it is safe to be out there doing anything.

Fish aren't as loyal!!
