If London Road is a part of your daily commute - heads up!  Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation are alerting drivers that they will have crews out performing tree trimming work over the next few days.

Trees that have low-hanging branches will be trimmed back between South 25th Avenue and the Lester River along London Road - weather permitting.  The removal of these branches is necessitated by their obstruction to trucks and other vehicles on the roadway.  Recently some of these vehicles have been striking the vegetation.  At the same time, MNDOT will be trimming away vegetation that hangs over sidewalks in accordance with the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act.    In addition the MNDOT crews will scout the area for diseased or dead trees for potential removal in the future.

Trees that will be affected will be marked with ribbons.
