A brand of imported Ricotta Cheese is being voluntarily recalled amongst Listeria concerns.

Forever Cheese Incorporated - importers of the brand Ricotta Salata Frescolina - are pulling the product off of store shelves and asking consumers to not eat the product.

Specifically, the affected cheese has a lot code of T9425 and a production code of 441202.

To date, company and medical officials say that 14 people may be become sick after eating the product.   Three fatalities included in that total have prompted the recall.

Northlanders should be aware that the three fatalities occurred in the state of Minnesota.
