October 22 is Leave A Light On For Jacob Wetterling, an event designed to focus attention on the plight of missing children nationwide.  It’s impetus has it’s origin in Minnesota.

On October 22, 1989 – 24 years ago – 11 year old Jacob Wetterling was abducted near his family farm in St Joseph, Minnesota.  His whereabouts remain unknown.

Since 1989, Jacob’s mother Patty has become an advocate for children’s safety.
