I have noticed that the city has been very open since Mayor Ness took over. When they fixed the woodland area they had many open forums to get opinions. The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation Division invites the public to attend a meeting Thursday, March 27th,   regarding the development of the mini-master plan for Hartley Park.

SRF Consulting will be presenting the proposed plan, followed by a question and answer session. SRF Consulting has been contracted by the City of Duluth’s Parks and Recreation Division to develop a Mini-Master Plan for Hartley Park in coordination with City staff, Nature Center staff, stakeholder group representatives, the City’s cross-country ski trail consultant, and the public. It will be a relatively short meeting from 6:00-7:30 pm, at the Hartley Nature Center, 3001 Woodland Ave.

This will be the third and last public meeting. The draft plan is available on the Parks webpage, right here.

Anyone unable to attend the meeting, can fill out the comment form by April 11, 2014 accessible using the web link here

Following this public meeting, the final draft of the Hartley Mini-Master Plan will be presented to the Parks Commission on Wednesday, April 30 at 6 pm at the Central Hillside Community Center (12 E 4th St). If the plan is approved by the Commission, it will go forward to the City Council in May for final approval.

Thank You to the City of Duluth www.duluthmn.gov
