Put your writing skills to the test for a chance to earn recognition and a cash prize.  The Lake Superior Writers are seeking entries for their 2017 Writing Contest.  The theme of this years contest is "Rivers:  Mapped and Unmapped" - with the subject matter being real or metaphorical.

Categories for the contest include Poetry (up to three poems), Short-Short Fiction (500 words, up to two stories), Short Story (1,500 - 5,000 words,  up to two stories) and Creative Non-Fiction (1,500 - 5,000 words, up to two pieces).  One winner will be selected from each category each winning a $250 prize and publication on the Lake Superior Writers website.

Deadline for entries is April 1, 2017.  The fee to enter is $35 for nonmembers and free for Lake Superior Writers members.  For rules, guidelines, and submission information click here.
