It looks like the Kwik Trip location at 28th and Tower in Superior is finally going to happen, with work scheduled to commence within the next few weeks.  Along with that previously-mentioned location, Superior officials have cleared the way for two other locations for Kwik Trip in the future.

The La Crosse-based company that opened its 400th convenience store Wednesday is planning stores on North 28th Street and Tower Avenue, Banks Avenue and Belknap Street, and at the site of the Nemadji truck stop.

So far the company has acquired one of those locations, said Chief Financial Officer Scott Teigen. Demolition of the former KFC and Godfather’s restaurants should get underway in the next few weeks.

All three of the locations come with approval from the City of Superior and the Superior Business Improvement District.
