With his landmark albums back on the shelf in re-mastered glory...and rumors swirling about a possible project with Rod Stewart, Jeff Beck shows that he's still got what it takes to keep busy.  After a diversion from his guitar work for a while in the late 1970's - a period in which he fueled his other passion for hot rods, Beck has kept busy in the world of rock-and-roll.

Beck returned in 1980 with There and Back, but he wouldn’t be heard from again until 1985’s Flash, which earned him the Best Rock Instrumental Grammy- his first

- for the song Escape. Beck re-emerged from semi-retirement in 1989 with Jeff Beck’s Guitar Shop with Terry Bozzio and Tony Hymas. The album earned him his second Grammy for Best Rock Instrumental.

Beck then spent the 1990's and parts of the last decade with various album projects and concert tours.   He's also been in the news as of late for a canceled American Idol appearance - which Beck says was due to a lack of rehearsal time.  He made it up to his fans though with an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno a few days later.
