The Minnesota State Fair ended weeks of speculation this morning by announcing that there would not be any chicken or poultry exhibits allowed at this years fair.

In a previous story a week ago, officials with the State Fair were still debating about what to do with the Avian Bird Flu epidemic that is facing the state.  The cancellation of the poultry exhibit will help quell the spread of the Avian Flu - which medical and veterinarian officials have been battling since 1997.

The Minnesota State Fair is scheduled to run August 27 - September 7, 2015.
