All week it seemed as if the Minnesota Vikings were going to land the highest profile free agent available this year, QB Kirk Cousins, and now it's official Kirk Cousins is a Viking!

Cousins comes from the Washington Redskins where he threw for over 4,000 yards each of the last three seasons, in comparison the Vikings have only had one season with over 4,000 yards of passing since 2010, so Cousins should help the team boost the stat in the coming years.

According to multiple reports, Cousins is guaranteed $84 million dollars over the next three seasons, this would make him one of the first players to get a fully guaranteed contract in the NFL which could start a trend around the league.

Cousins joins the Vikings after spending six years with the Washington Redskins. The Holland, Michigan native started all 16 games during the previous three seasons.

He has started 57 career games and appeared in 62 contests and has thrown for 16,206 yards and 99 touchdowns with a 65.5 completion percentage and a 93.7 QB rating.
