It’s A Sidewalk So Get Your Bike off the Side Walk

With this great weather people are out on their bikes. I was heading home and I was about to turn left, I also see a bike coming up pedaling down the sidewalk and simply breezes through the intersection causing vehicles turning left to make an abrupt stop almost causing an accident.

Don’t get me wrong I think young children need to be riding on the sidewalk not the street. It does drive me nuts when I see adults riding on the sidewalk. The thing is it is perfectly legal for a bicycle to either be on the street or on the sidewalk.

I understand a lot of the adults we see riding bikes on the sidewalks and you can’t teach them the correct way, but we can teach her kids to obey the laws the rules in the safety of riding a bicycle.
