About the only time I was a last minute holiday shopper was when I was a kid. It's hard to buy a gift for like a dollar thirty nine cents, right? I usually wound up with a candle, or a  statue or box of candy which I sampled on the way home.

It taught me a lesson though. Don't be a last minute shopper. It seems what I did in my youth came true this holiday season according to an article in the Huffington Post. Very few last minute shoppers, at least in the big box stores.

I thought something was up when I was leaving the studio on Christmas Eve. Very little traffic. At that time, I thought most people had their shopping done, either locally or on-line, which could account for the almost disappearance of the last minute shopper.
