The St. Louis County Sheriff's Department has released details about a minor trail derailment on the Iron Range this morning, concerning a train carrying iron ore.  According to the release, three cars on a CN train near Mt. Iron left the track around 8:20 AM this morning.

Details at this time show that none of the iron ore being transported in the train cars left their containers and that the train cars remained upright.  In addition, authorities are reporting that there were no injuries related to the accident and that there wasn't any disruption to vehicular traffic on surrounding highways,

At this time, work crews with the CN Railroad are on the scene working to correct the track alignment with the cars and to repair any damage that occurred on the scene.
