The Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College is holding a Concert at Bayfront Festival Park this Sunday September 16th, for the FDLTCC Foundation in order to raise money for scholarships that are awarded to local students. The show kicks off at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at Fon-Du-luth Casino and etix.

Indigenous is well known in the Blues Community and Native Country. The lead guitarist, Mato Nanji is a Native American musician from South Dakota. From his early career beginning in 1999, Indigenous has managed to be the only Native American Blues band to make the Billboard Charts at #22. Indigenous has also played the Bay front Blues Festival. They have also played alongside musicians like BB King, Buddy Guy and Johnny Lang. Mato’s guitar playing has been compared to the greats like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Carlos Santana and Jimi Hendrix.

There will be two opening acts: “Lyz Jaakola and the Smokin’ Chimokes” and “Pura Fe”. Both are Native American Music Award Winners.
