Today.com reports the high cost to newlyweds wanting to create a more fulfilling experience for their guests. Guest lists went down, but spending per guest went up thus insuring they would have a memorable time. Costs for this year are expected to rise slightly as well.

Manhatten couples spent the most on their wedding averaging $76,678, while Alaska was the cheapest at $15,504 on average. Brides spent an average of $1200 on their wedding dress, and an average of $560 on their wedding cake.
