You may have noticed the orange cones up along Mesaba Avenue and the I-35 corridor near London Road.  Those safety implements are in place for a major resurfacing project that begins today.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, crews will be working on portions of Interstate 35, Highway 61 and Highway 194 (Mesaba Avenue) through the middle of July.  The scope of the project includes surface crack filling, drainage repairs, and a bituminous overlay.

Motorists can expect single-lane traffic and temporary lane closures.
