“I Got a Line on You” by Spirit – Rayman’s Song of the Day [VIDEO]

We hear of so many bands that fell apart for one reason or another, it's nice to report on a band who reunited and stayed together. Such is the story of Spirit, who reunited on this day in 1976 after a five year breakup.

Drummer Ed Cassidy, (the step-father of  singer /guitarist Randy California) was one of the first "skinheads"  which made him visually distinctive in the rock genre. Spirits first album "The Family That Plays Together" did extremely well, and their third " The 12 Dreams Of Dr. Sardonicus" went gold. Randy left the group shortly after that to go solo, remaining band members formed Jo Jo Gunne. The original members of Spirit reformed in 1976, and released "Son Of Spirit" later that year.
