I Don’t Want To Grow Up by the Ramones-Rayman’s Alternative Spotlight [VIDEO]

Even though the New York Dolls set the stage for punk rock, I believe the Ramones had first dibs on the punk rock genre. Basically bred in rock n roll, the Ramones sped of the tempo of their songs, stripped their music down to four chords, and coupled that with decent but basic lyrics. While other groups (the Talking Heads come to mind) seemed more intellectual, the Ramones took the basic rock n roll song and sound to new heights by simply using their own style, and not varying from that style for over twenty years.
