I had occasion to emcee a show with the Four Tops and Temptations a couple years ago. Although their lead singer, legendary Levi Stubbs had since passed, the group was magnificent. The Four Tops spent over four decades without a single personnel change. In between, they became one of the top acts along with The Temptations, and Supremes as Motown's most consistent hit makers. .From 1964-1967 they recorded "Reach Out, I'll Be There," "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)," "Standing in the Shadows of Love," "Bernadette," and "Baby I Need Your Loving."
