I-35/Blatnik Bridge Work This Week

Work crews with the Minnesota Department of Transportation will be performing a variety of repair projects this week along I-35 and the Blatnik Bridge.  The work will primarily occur during the daytime hours of 9:00 AM and 2:30 PM.

According to materials released in conjunction with the project, MNDOT suggests that drivers can anticipate right lane closures in the tunnels between south 5th Avenue west and 21st Avenue east.  Also, the north (Duluth bound) and south (Superior bound) sides of the Blatnik Bridge will experience right lane closures during the time period;  in addition, the bridge will have posted width and weight restrictions.

The work on this leg of the project is anticipated to be wrapped up by the end of the week - weather permitting.
