I-35 Roadwork To Happen June 1-3; Ramp Closures And Lane Restrictions To Affect Drivers

Summer is truly road work season.  A project that could affect drivers in the downtown Duluth area is getting ready to start on Monday.  Crews with the Minnesota Department of Transportation will be working on ramps and lanes on I-35 near the downtown Duluth area.

Here are the particulars:

• Monday, June 1 — Motorists traveling on 5th Avenue West over I-35 will be restricted to a single lane in each direction.
• Tuesday, June 2 — The northbound on-ramp and access to the frontage road off 5th Avenue West to Lake Avenue will close.
• Wednesday, June 3 — The exit-ramp from northbound I-35 to 5th Avenue will close.

The work will occur during the daytime hours and is expected to be finished each night before 5PM.
