I-35 Road Resumes South Of Duluth On May 6th
The weather postponed the start of the project originally, but it looks like all signs are positive for the road construction project on I-35 just south of Duluth to begin Monday, May 6th.
The following lane restrictions will be in effect:
Motorists traveling north and south on I-35, just south of Boundary Avenue in Duluth, will be restricted to a single lane, while crews resume construction of a median crossover, weather permitting. Motorists will be restricted to a single lane for about a mile.
Construction of the crossover is expected to take until approximately May 16. As soon as it is completed, all I-35 traffic will be moved to the southbound lanes.
Benefits of the completed project include:
- • New concrete
- • New paved shoulders and guardrail
- • Improved drainage and bridges
- • Improved safety
