Drivers who utilize any one of the ramps on I-35 near Scanlon will want to know about a paving project that starts on Monday, August 29.  Crews with the Minnesota Department of Transportation will begin a week-long project to re-pave the I-35 on and off ramps in the Scanlon area.

In order to accommodate the work, the southbound on-ramp to I-35 in Scanlon will close completely to traffic on August 29 from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

In additon, the following ramps will see paving work - but will not need to be completely closed.  Drivers should anticipate delays and be cautious while using the ramps:

  • The southbound I-35 off ramp in Scanlon
  • The northbound I-35 on ramp in Scanlon
  • The southbound I-35/Highway 210 on and off ramps in Carlton
  • The northbound I-35/Highway 210 on and off ramps in Carlton

MNDOT officials anticipate the work will wrap up by the end of the week - weather permitting.
