As the resident "foodie" in the building, I'm often called upon for cooking tips - so when I discover a new trick myself, I like to share it.

Did you know you can shred chicken in your Kitchenaid stand mixer?

The next time you need to shred boneless, skinless chicken breasts for a recipe - whether it's for a pulled chicken sandwich, chicken salad, or Buffalo chicken dip - try  this.

  • After roasting the chicken breasts in a 350 oven for about 30 minutes or so, let them rest for about 5-10 minutes.
  • Cut the breasts in half.
  • Place them in the bowl of your Kitchenaid mixer, lift the bowl with the handle, and process them with the paddle attachment for 30-40 seconds - or until they are perfectly shredded.

You'll never go back  to using two forks again!
