One thing hasn't changed over the years:  Kids love to color and paint.  But have you seen the price of watercolor paints and supplies these days? Here's an easy recipe for a budget-friendly paint that's also non-toxic - meaning that if your little one accidentally gets some in their mouth, it's not going to harm them.  The four ingredients in this paint recipe are all edible.

To make paint - here's what you need:

  • 1 cup of Flour
  • 1 cup of Salt
  • 1 cup of Water
  • Food Coloring.  The amount you need will vary, depending on what color you mix up and how dark (or light) you want the color.

The process:  Mix the flour, water, and salt together to form the paint base.  Then, split the paint base into different containers - adding the food coloring to each individual container, making the color or colors you want.

What could be easier?
