While the Christmas season is a happy one - it's also an expensive one, filled with plenty of stress.  A lot of people are looking for ways to save money and make life easier on them in December.  But what can you do?

I found this article that offers some good tips for helping you save money at Christmastime. Some of my favorites:

• Avoid shipping fees.  From my experience, if you're ordering online or via the phone you should never be paying for shipping.  Ask the retailer for free shipping and 9 times out of 10 they'll give it to you.  In addition, if you're returning an item - ask again.  No one should pay for returns!
• Use social media in a savvy way.  These days, most retailers have Facebook pages or even a plain website.  "Friending" these sites or signing up with your contact information often gives you an inside edge on special deals and offers.
