Although the city council is the most-visible part of our cities government, the progress of our community also depends largely on volunteers who agree to serve on various boards and commissions.  These forums can wield great influence on our regions way of life.

Right now, there are openings on a wide-range of these boards and commissions and the City of Duluth encourages residents to take part.

Current openings include:

  • Alcohol, Gambling and Tobacco Commission - 3 year term
  • Indigenous Commission - 3 year term
  • Commission on Disabilities - 3 year term
  • Building Appeal Board – 3 year term (1 vacancy, building trade union rep)

  • Planning Commission - 4 year term
  • Tree Commission - 3 year term
