If developers have their way, changes are coming for a piece of property you probably drive by every day. According to the website cdinduluth.com, a 106-room hotel is being planned for 525 East Central Entrance - a lot that is primarily empty right now save for a digital billboard.

The story suggests that the commercial property would be branded as a Tru by Hilton hotel - an offshoot of the parent company;  at this point, there aren't many Tru locations around - only 30 in the entire world.

The development needs to be approved by the Duluth Planning Commission.  Their next meeting is scheduled for February 13.
