Drivers along Minnesota's Scenic Highway 61 will be redirected near the Gunflint Trail this summer while workers construct a new bridge.

The project is already under way at Cut Face Creek, located approximately six miles south of the Gunflint Trail.

Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation are alerting drivers that delays of up to ten minutes may be encountered and  to plan in advance.

The work is expected to wrap up around the middle of September.
