Highway 53 Work Near International Falls To Cause Delays

A milling and bridge replacement job on Highway 53 near International Falls got underway this week.

Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation are warning motorists that they may experience single-lane or full-highway closures that will last intermittently while the project is underway.  Closures are not expected to last longer than 15 minutes at a time.

The work in question is happening from International Falls to 34 miles south on Highway 53 and is expected to wrap up in August.
