Highway 53 Resurfacing Project Commences Near Cotton

Divers who utilize Highway 53 between the Twin Ports and the Iron Range will encounter a resurfacing project near Cotton.

Crews from the Minnesota Department of Transportation will restrict traffic to a single lane southbound in an 8-mile stretch of Highway 53.  The project area runs from just south of the White Face River to Augusta Lake Road.

Officials with MNDOT anticipate the project wrapping up by mid June.
