Highway 53 Project In Grand Lake Township Starts May 15

A turn lane project on Highway 53 will begin on Monday, May 15 in Grand Lake Township.  Work crews with the Minnesota Department of Transportation will begin a month-plus long project that will install turning lanes on 53 just south of Caribou Lake Road.

In order to accommodate the crew and the scope of the work, traffic lanes will be reduced to singe lanes in both directions.

Work on the project is anticipated to wrap-up by mid-June.
