The Highway 1/169 pavement resurfacing project, which began in July is on schedule for completion in August 2014.  Officials with MNDOT expect the project to finish on time.

Ongoing traffic impacts:

  • Motorists can anticipate intermittent full-closures not longer than 15-minutes at multiple locations, and intermittent flagging operations at multiple locations.
  • In areas where pavement has been removed, motorists will be required to drive on gravel surfaces that can be rough at times depending on weather and traffic volume. Crews make regular inspections of the unpaved areas and grade as needed.
  • All motorists, but especially motorcyclists and motorists towing boats or trailers, should drive with extra caution on the unpaved surfaces.
