Heroes Race For Wellness 5K Happens August 29

Here's a fun event that lets you honor the heroes in your life.  Saturday, August 29 is the date of the 5th annual Heroes Race for Wellness 5K.  Join members of the Saint Louis County Human Resources Department as they team up with the Grand Lake Fire Department to make this race happen.

The race starts at the Grand Lake Volunteer Fire Departments location at Highway 53 and Canosia Road in Twig at 9:00 AM.  Participants of all ages are welcome to race;  there's even a one-mile kid run.

This years race will also honor Steve O'Neil, Dave Fremling, and all of those who serve or have served the public.

Registration is available online.  You can also get signed up at the fire department on race day.  Entry fee for the 5K is $15 for all public employees and their families and $25 for anyone who wants to join in on the fun.  The one-mile kids race is open to children ages 11 and younger for free.
