Debbie Harry's "Blondie" was the most commercially successful band to emerge from the much-vaunted punk/new wave movement of the late '70s. She went from singing with several minor bands, to Max's Kansas City to becoming a Playboy Bunny, to the Punk band  "Angel and the Snakes" before forming Blondie.
