I didn't know much about Harry Potter when we traveled to Florida, but when we left Universal Studios, I sure knew a lot more.  When we first arrived I noticed several kids wandering in wearing black cloaks, once we got into Diagon Alley, I noticed several with black cloaks and Harry Potter wands.  Diagon Alley is a sight to behold!

If you or someone you know is a Harry Potter fan, they MUST attend Universal Studio for an experience of a lifetime.  On the outside of Diagon Alley you'll find the Knight Bus, which was explained to me as the choice of transportation by the witches and wizards similar to a taxi service (with a sorta creepy driver).  However, as creepy as he was, I got a chuckle out of him when I said you must be a Minnesota Vikings fan based on his choice of purple suit.

If we didn't have a map of the park we may have walked right past Diagon Alley.  Actually, we did, it's behind a brick wall with two big holes for you to walk through.  I thought they were just doing construction, but this is what you find on the other side.

The best part was watching the kids run around with their wands which I called sticks until I saw the store.

Those are the boxes of wands with gold on one end.  Harry Potter fans could choose from several wands made of different types of wood.  Everything from Apple to Blackthorn to Cherry and more!  You just had to stand in line to make a choice.  Oh, and have $50+ in your wallet :)
