Guns N’ Roses will perform a 12-show residency, entitled ‘Appetite for Democracy,’ at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fun kicks off on Oct. 31 and runs through Nov. 24.

In addition to the Halloween show — which should be quite a scene — the band will perform at the (for them) intimate venue on Nov. 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 14, 17, 18, 21, 23 and 24. Earlier this year, in February, Motley Crue performed a 12-date residency of their own at the same venue, and are considering another Sin City visit for next year.

You can expect Guns N’ Roses to play a fair share of the songs from ‘Appetite for Destruction,’ their famous debut album, at the show. The landmark record recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. As the title for this series of dates suggests, you can also expect songs from their current (2008) platter, ‘Chinese Democracy,’ their first effort to feature only singer Axl Rose from the band’s original lineup.

Ticket prices start at $45 and go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 17 through the Hard Rock‘s box office or Ticketmaster. It is unknown what effect this residency will have on plans for the band’s next album. Recently, keyboardist Dizzy Reed reported that songwriting for that project was the band’s current “main focus.”

As part of our celebration of ‘Appetite”s big birthday, we teamed up with Loudwire to count down the 25 most destructive moments in Guns N’ Roses history. From breakups to feuds to riots, you’ll find a lot of good old fashioned rock and roll mayhem on this list.
