It looks like the calculations were a little off - but - it should be nice when it's all done.  The touted two-year project to completely rebuild Grand Avenue/Highway 23 is stretching into its third year as work resumes on Monday, April 10.

Work this year will focus on sidewalks - however a section of the roadway near Freemont Street will see more in-depth work as crews build a new storm sewer system.  Drivers should anticipate single-lane closures in the areas being worked on.

Work is anticipated to wrap up in mid-June.
